This place has such an opportunity. Imagine an old fashion style walk up window, outside seating, and an active staff that is ready to take milkshake orders! I find what the owners are doing to be lazy and careless.
They have a certain amount of business because the food it pretty good, they have a classic appeal, and it's a convenient location, so they seem to just not worry about it. However, this place could be so much more.
You walk into a very strange and plan room to order from an inside window. The menu looks like it is from a youth baseball field snack bar. The owners are not much for chanter service. They kind of grunt at you. The the food takes 20 minutes and you're on your way.
It's just... it need work -

Burned again by Yelp Sacramento's inflated ratings. This is not a cute lil dive. It's a small joint with a somehow full parking lot. Employees???
The "signature burger" had 1/3 completely tasteless beef patty. I'm mad that I wasted my limited intake of beef on that sorry piece of meat.
The bun was odd, fresh and soft but "French bread". Really? French bread should have contributed something. It did not.
The rest of the burger was lettuce, tomato, equally tasteless pickles and a copious amount of mayo. I added onion.
I've had a better burger at McDonalds. It was actually tasteless until I added ketchup and got sauce to literally every bite.
The one star is for average fries that were at least hot. The burger warrants a zero. -

Came here with my brother for national cheeseburger day as my brother is a fan of this place. When we got here the owner was at the grill and his wife was not there. My brother ordered a double cheese burger and I ordered a bonanza with cheese with everything except tomato. The burger on this day was extremely disappointing. My burger was cooked way too much and the patty wasn't seasoned at all. The burger came without onions or mayo, but it did have tomato, so essentially not how I ordered it at all. The outcome was a burger that was bland, dry, made not how I ordered. What's upsetting is that the owner was the one who made it. I get an employee phoning it in, but the owner not giving a shit about the product he is selling? Yeah, that's not gonna work for me. I'll not be back.

My go to place for fries and an ostrich burger. So many exotic burger choices, definitely one of my favorite burger spots in Sac.
